Brother Ion is a pastor near the town of Lipova, in Radna, in a rural area in Western Romania. He also serves in several other village churches along the Mures River Valley. Beyond the involvement in the local church, pastor Ion is constantly visiting orphanages and foster homes, encouraging both children and the caretakers. His weekly radio show on a local Christian station reaches thousands of listeners and he is also serving as coordinator for the mission department of the Regional Baptist Community. Ever since the start of the war in Ukraine, he has been rallying the local community churches in order to organize humanitarian transports to the war-stricken country and create opportunities for the Good News to be shared.
