STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
The Romanian Missionary Society is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), with a commitment to the highest standards of financial responsibility, accountability and integrity.
We are a Section 501(c)(3) organization. All gifts to RMS are deductible as charitable contributions for federal and state income tax purposes. As required by law, gifts are solicited with the understanding that RMS has complete discretion and control over the use of all donated funds.
At the Romanian Missionary Society, we are dedicated to upholding sound, Biblical standards in our financial practices as faithful stewards. Our commitment to integrity and transparency is evident in our adherence to the following guidelines:
- Affirming our evangelical Christian doctrine through a written Statement of Faith, with the primary goal of advancing the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Ensuring governance by an accountable Board of Directors, with a majority of independent members according to legal standards.
- Regularly convening to set policies, approve budgets, and assess operational results and ministry achievements.
- Utilizing contributions responsibly and transparently, in line with our mission of serving people and spreading the message of Jesus Christ.
- Engaging an independent public accounting firm for an annual financial audit to comply with accepted accounting principles.
- Providing financial statements upon request and publishing the annual Form 990, with oversight from the Finance Committee and the Board.
